Kala Ghoda Arts Festival Day 6 Blends Immersive Art and Literary Insight Across Iconic Venues

Day 6 of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival unfolded as an evening of reflection, creativity and meaningful dialogue across two heritage venues in South Mumbai.

At the Museum Gardens of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, audiences experienced Savour the Pause, an immersive projection mapping installation that transformed the historic façade into a living canvas of light and movement. In the presence of artist Arzan Khambatta, the installation invited viewers to slow down and absorb art in a contemplative setting. The blend of architecture and digital storytelling created a quiet yet powerful atmosphere, offering a rare moment of stillness within the vibrant festival energy.

Later in the evening, the garden at David Sassoon Library hosted The Great Indian Novel session featuring Booker Prize winner Kiran Desai and author Namita Devidayal. The conversation explored the evolution of Indian writing, the balance between personal memory and national identity, and the global journey of Indian literature. The session drew a thoughtful audience, turning the heritage garden into a space of deep engagement and cultural exchange.

From immersive digital art to compelling literary discourse, Day 6 reaffirmed the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival’s ability to seamlessly bring together tradition and contemporary expression.
