Siraj bowls hard and learns from the captain how to bat.

Today was Mohammed Siraj’s first training session. After spending a lot of time facing throwdowns and net bowlers, the seamer bowled full force, with the new ball, to players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma.

The 29-year-old was given a batting instruction by skipper Rohit shortly after his batting session concluded. Rohit was emphasizing to his tail-ender the importance of having the perfect head posture. In his explanation, Rohit was quite detailed. He even raised a helmet in front of him and described the dangers of having one’s head fall to either side while facing deliveries.

Siraj wasn’t the only one who benefited from the lesson; Kuldeep Yadav also learned a lot from his skipper. Siraj and Kuldeep dedicated a lot of time to improving their batting, and while they worked hard in the nets, captain Rohit and coach Rahul Dravid maintained a watchful eye on them.

Jaiswal is occupied with leaves.

Yashasvi Jaiswal faced a variety of seamers, spinners, and throwdown specialists in various nets and had a lengthy hit, but he wasn’t done yet. The left-hander instructed some nearby net bowlers to particularly feed him deliveries around the good-length position around fourth-fifth stump after letting things settle down for a while.

The 22-year-old continued to leave many deliveries and made sure to watch the ball until the very end. One of the last hitters to leave the nets area, Jaiswal took a long time to gain the feel of leaving deliveries.

Jaiswal had a hard day in the heat, beginning with a close-quarters catching workout and ending with a hitting drill. The whole coaching staff, lead by Dravid, maintained a careful watch on things as the remaining batsmen and bowlers had respectable hits with both bat and ball.
